WHAT IS FOOD4THOUGHT

Our mission is to help connect business people to Jesus

We have a powerful vision for Food4Thought. To put it simply, we want to reach business people who either have struggled to work out how their business, life and their faith work together, and perhaps are finding it difficult to really fit into church, or who have yet to discover faith in Jesus. We want these men and women to discover not only a faith that works amidst their busy lives, but also to provide a sense of meaning and purpose in communities of like-minded people.

We are a passionate community of business people exploring a faith that works to discover a life of meaning and purpose.

Food4Thought is a faith movement that believes in 6 key scriptures that are at the heart of Food4Thought.

The New Commandment

“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” John 13:34,35 (NIV)

The Ways of Jesus

“Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.” Matthew 11:28-30 (The Message)

The Call on Your Life

“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” Ephesians 2:10 (NIV)

The Great Commission

“Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28:18-20 (NIV)

The Church

“They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common. They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.” Acts 2:42-47(NIV)

Multiplication

Then God blessed Noah and his sons, saying to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number and fill the earth. Genesis 9:1 (NIV)
